École polytechnique (also known as “L’X”) is a world-class higher education and research establishment dedicated to sciences and technology, founded in 1794. The School granted a military status in 1804, and operates under the administrative supervision of the Ministry of Armed Forces. École polytechnique is a founding member of Institut Polytechnique de Paris, alongside four other Grandes Ecoles in engineering: ENSAE Paris, ENSTA Paris, Telecom Paris and Telecom SudParis.

École polytechnique is highly internationalized (40% of students and 40% of faculty members are international) and combines top-level research, academics, and innovation at a global level. Your recruitment journey: our recruitment process

We see recruitment as a special time for dialog. In the recruitment process, we aim to be transparent and available throughout the various phases of your application.

The application process :

1. Online submission of your application, in response to a job advert or spontaneous application.
2. HR phone interview: if your application is preselected, a member of the Human Resources (HR) office will contact you to schedule a phone interview, to meet you, learn more about your professional background and your motivations, and answer any questions you might have.
3. HR interview: if the phone interview confirms you as a suitable candidate for the vacant position, we will schedule a job interview with an HR manager in charge of recruitment.
4. Interview with the manager : As part of the application process, you will also meet your future manager, of course. Depending on the position you are applying for, we might also schedule a meeting with the director of the department.  
5. Job offer: If your application is validated, we will send you a job offer. Once signed, we will send you a final confirmation and prepare for your start in your new position within our institution !
6. Getting started, you will get invited to “Welcome X Day” within the two months following your arrival to help you get familiar with our institution and meet also colleagues from other departments. To make sure you settle in smoothly in your new job position, our recruitment manager will follow up with you during the trial period and once again after 9 months.
